Questions Addressed

  • How do I install the standalone version of Matlab? How do I install the standalone version of Matlab?

Installation Steps

  1. If you already have the network version of Matlab installed, rename it before you install the standalone version.
    • For example, rename the network version of Matlab to "MATLAB_2015a_Network

  2. Retrieve and mount the ISO of the appropriate version of Matlab from the site below:
  3. For Mac: Launch InstallForMacOSX
    For PC: Launch setup.exe

  4. Select "Install without using the internet" (or it may be "Use a File Installation Key").

  5. Accept the license agreement and click Next.

  6. Once prompted enter the File Installation key.

  7. Once installation is complete leave the Activate MATLAB box checked.

  8. Once prompted during the activation process, browse to the location of the License File that you received and click the Next button. This completes the activation process.

  9. Create a folder named Matlab_Standalone in the Applications folder and move the standalone version of Matlab to this folder.
